PES Network, Inc. (PES) was created with the primary objective of open sourcing alternative energy technologies, especially the ‘free energy’ variety that taps into inexhaustible energy reservoirs. PES will also address other closely related fields such as waste remediation, recycling, water purification and derivation, and making available suppressed technologies in more conventional arenas. PES is already in touch with several working technologies that are preparing to plug into this open sourcing model, including two different motor designs, as well as several super-efficient carburetor designs.

The open sourcing will foster a productive public exchange among inventors, theoreticians, engineers, scientists, and businessmen; providing a repository of the best thinking on a given technology, accelerating the technology’s development, and catalyzing its arrival in the marketplace as well as its continued improvement.

Very few people who participate in developing PES will be actual employees.  The vast majority will be volunteer contributors with a passion for the topics covered.

Our primary purpose is to facilitate the emergence of ever more highly efficient, non depleting energy technologies into the marketplace. We ourselves might not be the ones to actually introduce the products to the marketplace, but we provide support for those who do by providing a fertile ground of identifying and bringing forth proven concepts that can be taken by others to the marketplace where they can bless the lives of mankind.

By the time market ready devices are produced by other companies who have benefited from this open sourcing, PES' repository of information and working prototypes will exceed what is available in the marketplace, largely due to the vast number of volunteer contributors to its knowledge base.

To augment this open sourcing mission, PES will establish a premier energy encyclopedia, alternative energy news service, an alternative energy academy, an as well as a physical library.

The online encyclopedia is part of a new concept in gathering information. Instead of relying on a few experts and updating it once a year or less, it will pull from a world of contributors who will be able to easily post information instantaneously. Submissions may be presented in a ‘note pad’ format, or users may contribute as editors of a ‘rough draft’ format. In addition, anyone can submit changes to the peer-reviewed and editor-approved official edition of the encyclopedia. The search function will be programmed to favor and indicate those encyclopedic entries that have been peer reviewed. The peer reviewed edition of the encyclopedia will be copyrighted, with liberal allowances of replication as long as the source has been clearly presented, and any for-profit resales include a reasonable royalty.

This community edited website will be the largest online encyclopedia in the field of alternative energy within a year of its inception and will be the preferred starting point of every inventor's and scientist's foray into the possibilities.

While PES will focus on alternative energy technologies for the first three years, topics related to anything 'alternative' or 'surpassing' (e.g. greater things) will be permitted in the rough draft (RD), publicly operated encyclopedia. Energy is not the only field where advancements have been suppressed and where great strides are being made in the margins of society. PES encyclopedia project will welcome those who are on the cutting edge of the discovery and implementation of new truths in all fields.

The PES academy will provide actual as well as virtual classes, workshops and conferences on alternative energy, especially encouraging young people to fine tune their ability to be serious contributors to this breaking field and its endless possibilities.

The library will house or source hard-to-find books, videos, papers, journals, notes, essays, blueprints, and other treasures of knowledge relevant to alternative energy, and will convert these to electronic format so they may be made available freely.

The staff of PES will include engineers and scientists, and a research and development lab will be provided where submitted technologies will be tested, verified, refined, and improved. Not all technologies tested will be open sourced and could provide an income stream for the company. PES itself is likely to invent new technologies or novel iterations that could be taken to market, while also open sourcing them on the site. One area in which the PES team is likely to excel is in providing kits for the technologies it features in its open sourcing.

PES aims to eventually be self funding through such things as sponsored links, advertising, classified ads, technology competitions, an alternative energy store, conferences and shows, encyclopedia CD sales, academy tuition, newsletter and magazine subscriptions, small library fees, and annual fund drives. The store will sell kits, plan sets, working devices, component parts, books, videos, and other relevant items. As mentioned technology verification services of our R&D lab can also be a source of revenue generation. The sale of in-house derived technologies can also provide a source of revenue.

Probably the most profitable source of revenue for self funding will come from sponsored links that will appear in the right-hand column for determined key words, such as Google does with their "adwords," earning $1 billion last year from its sponsored links. (Time; Dec. 22, '03.) Sponsored links are recognized by vendors as one of the best methods of targeted advertising.

Strict guidelines will need to be followed to assure that such sales do not include ideas submitted directly or indirectly to PES by virtue of the organization’s reputation. The deserved image of PES will need to be that of freely giving away information that is given to us.

PES also plans on providing grant monies to award inventors of cutting edge technologies showing promise in their field and needing a financial boost to go the next step. Additionally, PES hopes to be able to contribute a humanitarian portion of its proceeds toward providing energy devices to third world situations.

As another community service PES plans to have a political action committee adjunct to help improve the body of law worldwide and make it friendlier to alternative energy technology. Another important function of that committee will be fostering an attitude of proper stewardship towards the earth’s limited resources.

PES also seeks to set a high standard when it comes to its own workplace environment. The salary spread will not be nearly as wide as is typically seen in the corporate world today. In the spirit of acknowledging that each person’s talents are of value, we aim to have "low end" jobs have higher salaries than usual, and"high end" jobs will have lower salaries than in comparable positions elsewhere.

If PES only accomplishes half of what it sets out to do, it will change the way each of us lives in our world today. The recent Eastern US electrical black-out demonstrates how vulnerable our current society is to energy issues and how that energy is delivered to the public. Vested interests have suppressed alternative energy sources and technologies for years in the interest of their own profitability and control. It is time for the people to take back their power.

The internet has proven to be the most potent form of freedom in the last one hundred years. It is an ideal medium to insure that the power is returned to where it rightfully belongs: to the masses. Knowledge is power, and if alternative energies are no longer an unknown, but proven and available, power will naturally return to the common man of the entire world.

Instead of being discouraged every step of the way by an unfriendly political and financial climate, inventors and scientists will be bolstered, and will provide the world with more and more technologies that are environmentally sound, personally safe, and readily available to all. Grants will ensure that the ground of alternative energy remains fertile for many years to come. No longer will profit for the few override what is good for the majority.

PES will catalyze the uniting of inventors and teams to help bring the best ideas to market.
