Energy News Intern

Leading energy information company is seeking intern to help prepare daily and
feature news stories. Covers cutting-edge, clean-energy technology developments
from around the world.
Intern pay will begin at minimum wage, but could expand commensurate with
performance. Could eventually rise to a career-sustainable level. If the
present rate of increase continues, that could happen within a few months.
Non-students will be considered, and possibly given preference due to
generally increased availability and flexibility.

- deriving a 95x95 thumbnail image to accompany each bullet
- publishing in MS FrontPage (2000)
- composing original news stories for PESN.com
- interviewing inventors and company leaders
- live 1-hour radio interviews as host, with inventor guest
- weekly 7-minute run-down of last weeks' news highlights, live
- posting and editing content at PESWiki.com
- posting news bullets to related topic page at PESWiki.com
- posting news bullets to related topic page at FreeEnergyNews.com (via
FrontPage)
- creating topic feature pages at PESWiki.com
- propagating links to PES pages from other energy news services
- e.g. composing links to PES stories to submit to Slashdot.com
- traveling to view technologies and inventors/groups and report
- represent PES at booth in a trade show
- other PES non-news tasks
o find additional products to promote and sell
o post product feature pages for sales
o find additional advertisers
o help coordinate New Energy Congress pages at PESWiki.com
