O'Leary Calls for Mankind to Harmonize with Zero Point Energy
Dr. Brian O'Leary Addressed the New Energy Movement Conference in
Portland, Sept. 26, 2004. Aiming for energy solutions that are clean, have zero
emissions, are affordable to everyone on the planet, feasible and reliable,
benign (no weapons use), decentralized, and are publicly accountable (no
secrets).

Brian O'Leary opened the second day of the New Energy Movement conference
held at Portland State University. The college campus, O'Leary's longish hair
and casual attire, plus the liberalism that pervades Oregon created a seventies deja
vu. Even his last name and Alma mater, UC Berkley, evoked images of the
seventies. It was enough to make a baby-boomer feel like a college student
again.
Dr. O'Leary proclaimed the truism that if we keep going in the direction we are
going, we will get there. Instead, we need to determine new goals and move
towards a more conscious future. "To sin by silence when they should
protest makes cowards of men," he said, quoting Abraham Lincoln. "We
want," he stated, "energy sources which are clean, cheap,
decentralized, benign and that are accountable to the public."
The solutions O'Leary offered, called social and personal action steps, were a
mix of science and religion or spirituality. He advocated a Green Peace Treaty
and a Global Green Democracy. On the spiritual side we need to realize, he
claimed, that the world is a reflection of our inner self and until we clean up
our own inner and outer spaces, the world will not reflect harmony.
We resonate with ZPE, he avowed, stating the spoon bending experiments he has
been involved with show our influence on the biosphere. Human intentions can
influence the universe. Dr OLeary mentioned Clive Baxters experiments
where plants respond to thinking. He expanded his subject to one of the most
common elements of our biosphere: water. He talked about the hidden messages
from water and how clean water is harmonic and orderly and fouled water shows up
as deformed and disharmonic.
Water is the oil of the 21st century, he asserted.
OLeary acknowledged that there are environmentalists who will fight New
Energy despite its lack of pollutants. They fear bigger and more of everything
with New Energy and prefer a more pristine environment. He postulated we need to
bring it out in the open and have intelligent social and political debates about
energy.
Brian also suggested we adopt a Manifesto for Sustainability. Together we
need to create a new science of consciousness that includes quantum physics,
parapsychology and alternative healing as well as zero-point energy research.
Most of all he claims we need to get beyond materialism, reductionism and
self-determination and consider the effect to the whole.
Brian O'Leary firmly believes that the solution to our energy problems lies in
social activism and joint advocacy along with altruistic and public funding from
Joe Q Public. While the enemy corporations rape the planet for their own selfish
gains, O'Leary advocates strength in numbers.
"No more martyrs!" he repeated. Was that Martin Luther King he was
speaking of or Gene Mallove? It was hard to remember.
