Ken Hegemann's MXLO Magnetic Motor replicationMXLO Magnet Motor Open Sourcing Project

Summary: This open sourcing project sponsored by Pure Energy Systems, based on a design by MXLO, commenced Mar. 3, 2004 and was active for about a month.  At least 14 (8 verified) replications were built, none of which worked, proving that MXLO plans are neither easy nor complete, contrary to what they insinuate on their site, which now redirects to the U.S. government's renewable energy site. On July 10, a hint about shielding was given that was not contained in the plans.

Forging Ahead

Continuing with MXLO device (for those that wish to) and looking for the next project (for the rest).

Subject: [pes_mxlo] forging ahead -- continuing with MXLO device and looking for the next project

Even though our relationship with MXLO has soured (and my personal confidence in the MXLO design has significantly waned), if there are those among you who are still inclined to pursue an answer to this riddle, I welcome you to continue to use this forum for that purpose.

I hope you won't mind that we will be discussing a possible "next project" to tackle as well, drawing from the expertise and camaraderie that is found on this list.

Yes I think this project has just ignite our interest in magnetic motor...

And I think it is a viable approach anyway...
I really like Misuno concept, and I am sure there is a lot more out there...

[[Moderator SDA comment: do you mean Minato?  The problem with his device is that it is not that simple.  The ideal project for open sourcing -- at least at first -- is something that is simple to replicate, simple to understand or visualize, and provides a compelling proof of concept just from a photo or a video.  The more complicated a device, the less its open sourcing will serve as the icebreaker we need for blowing the lid off the suppression of alternative energy technologies of the "free energy" variety.]]
