Template for New Open Sourcing Project
[Title is in <h1>; 3 - 9 words]
A page describing the contents and layout for new open sourcing
projects. The description captures the essence of the project and page purpose.
[description in bold-italics, and indented; 10-35 words; this description is what
you put in the description meta tag (those who know a little HTML)]
Updates
After the page is first posted, create an updates page, with link from the main page, and list
developments in reverse chronological sequence as they unfold. Those watching the developments
will go to this page to see what the latest additions are on the site.
Introduction
[subheadings in <h2>]
Give a 1 - 3 paragraph overview of the technology. Should address concisely:
- what it is
- what it does (power output, input source)
- how far along it is in development
- whether or not there is a working prototype
- include some kind of visual presentation: a photo or diagram (compress image files for rapid
loading)
- who the main inventor is (photo would be nice)
- when it was invented
- what previous devices inspired its creation
- if there is a patent involved (number, link)
- whether certain portions are still proprietary
- whether the contents of the open sourcing are presently adequate to build a complete, working
unit
Lists should be presented with bullets or numbered. Use standard fonts for regular
text. Use bold and italics sparingly, but should be used to help highlight
important points. Run your spell check.
